I made this piece a couple of years ago for a shoot that I was styling but never used it in the end! It was hanging on my wall for sometime ever since- I gave it away recently but it was part 2D, part 3D and I like the idea of changing its function from wearable to something hanging on the wall- the back of it was flat onto the wall but then the bird and nest kinda stuck out a little and I liked the idea of being able to touch it and it being raised of the wall, not framed like a picture. It was a visual display of a functional item so in a way it had no function but pleasure!! x
